This is what a few of our members have to say about our club.
Peter - An ex- soldier injured while serving our country.
i was introduced to Conwy Disabled Archery via Help for Heroes local Representative, Sarah, in November 2023. I suffer from complex PTSD and an enduring personality disorder due to a catastrophic event during my military service. I’m in a wheelchair as I have a spinal injury and heart condition.
At first I found it challenging because of mental health but soon got in to the through the friendship of the club members and a shared purpose, Archery.
During my time with the club I have in the UK Disability Championship 2024 and local competitions where I have been made to feel very welcome
The main theme of the club is a shared understanding of each other and that no one person is more disabled than any one else.
So if you want a club that is clearly set up disability archery, then Conwy Disabled Archery is that club.
As a foot note you get free tea and coffee and sometimes homemade Flapjacks to die for, either made by Helen or Nick.
Come and meet us at the following events
