We believe in safeguarding our members, our friends and families and all the people that we come in to contact with so that everyone should feel safe and valued.
Being an inclusive sport requires safeguarding to be embedded into the structure and day to
day running of our club.
Taking safeguarding seriously means that our coaches are trained to a high standard, our committee is made up of people who are DBS checked and our members all know who to contact if there is an issue, we hope this will never be needed but we have a system in place, this includes involving Conwy County Social Services Safeguarding Officers, Archery GB Safeguarding and Wales Archery Association.
Conwy Disabled Archery believe in training our volunteers.
All our coaches are trained by Archery GB.
What does this mean to you ?
It means you can be sure that our coaches are trained in Safeguarding, hold a current DBS and are insured and licensed to coach archery.
We encourage our members to engage in training offered by Archery GB, Sport Wales, Disability Sport Wales, UK Coaching and any other training provider.
All our committee members have taken UK Disability Inclusion Training.
